Bobbili Simham Story

The film begins in the kingdom of Bobbili, where young heir Vijaya Raghava Bhupathi is saved by his maternal uncle Rayudu, who sacrifices himself to protect the clan’s honor. Twenty-five years later, Vijaya Raghava grows into a righteous leader, dispensing impartial justice at the Dharma Pettam. His integrity earns admiration but also envy, particularly from the tyrant Pasupathi, who repeatedly challenges him but is humbled each time. During a village fair, a young woman, Venkata Lakshmi, falls in love with Vijaya Raghava, and his grandmother Bhuvaneswari Devi encourages her affection. When schemers attempt to dishonor Venkata Lakshmi in the name of religion, Vijaya Raghava protects her by marrying her—though she later learns with fury that he is already wed to his cousin Sravani. Soon after, political intrigues deepen as Pasupathi illegally seizes temple lands with the support of Minister Basavaiah. Vijaya Raghava defeats their scheme, restoring the land to its rightful owners. In retaliation, Pasupathi’s faction frames Rayudu for murder and conspires to wed Sravani to Pasupathi’s son Gajendra. Vijaya Raghava foils the plot, weds Sravani, only to learn on their wedding night that she married him for revenge, vowing to destroy his lineage.

Bhuvaneswari Devi challenges Sravani to secure an heir, setting off a rivalry between the two wives. Though Vijaya Raghava initially keeps Venkata Lakshmi at a distance, circumstances draw them closer. Meanwhile, Vijaya Raghava discovers Ganga—his half-sister from his father’s second wife—who loves Pasupathi’s younger son, Sivaji. Though Pasupathi pretends to agree to their union, he betrays them by letting Minister Basavaiah attempt to molest Ganga, only for Vijaya Raghava to intervene and capture the Minister. The Chief Minister arrives, recognizes Vijaya Raghava’s integrity, and strips Basavaiah of power. Later, Venkata Lakshmi conceives, and Sravani, once hostile, rejoices—revealing she has been terminally ill with cancer all along and staged her defiance only to ensure Vijaya Raghava would continue the bloodline. In a poignant moment, Vijaya Raghava admits he always knew her truth, and the family reveres Sravani as a goddess. As Vijaya Raghava fulfills his ancestors’ dream by completing the Bobbili Project, Pasupathi and Basavaiah make a final attempt on his life. In the ensuing battle, Sravani shields Venkata Lakshmi and dies peacefully in Vijaya Raghava’s arms, blessing the newborn heir. The film ends with Vijaya Raghava defeating the villains and safeguarding both his family’s honor and Bobbili’s future.
