Babai-Abbai Story
The film begins with two con artists, Bala and Veera, who stumble into a bizarre situation and end up living together. They affectionately call each other Babai–Abbai and survive by constantly borrowing money and escaping from lenders. One day, Bala falls for Krishnaveni (Krishna), the daughter of multimillionaire Vara Prasad Rao. Upon discovering this, Vara Prasad Rao challenges Bala by giving him ₹25 lakhs, with the condition that he must spend it all within 30 days. The catch is that Bala cannot donate or destroy the money.
With Babai’s guidance, Bala embarks on a whirlwind mission to spend the fortune through horse racing, gambling, film production, building a house, and other ventures. Ironically, at every stage his income multiplies instead of depleting, leaving him frustrated. Finally, in desperation, Bala throws the money into the sea—just as Vara Prasad Rao arrives. He then reveals that the entire exercise was a test of Bala’s character and to show him the futility of ill-gotten wealth. The film concludes on a happy note with the marriage of Bala and Krishna.
