Bhagawath Kesari Story

The film begins at a Central Jail, where newly deputed Jailor Srikanth encounters prisoner Nelakonda Bhagawath Kesari while saving an industrialist, Ratan Shukla. From then, the two develop mutual respect, and Bhagawath grows fond of Srikanth’s daughter, Vijayalakshmi (Vijji). Despite suspension, Srikanth helps Bhagawath see his ailing mother and later secures his release on Independence Day. Soon after, Srikanth dies tragically in an accident, and Bhagawath pledges to raise Vijji with love and fulfill Srikanth’s dream of seeing her join the Indian Army.

Years later, Bhagawath dotes on Vijji, but she resents the idea of joining the Army due to a hidden trauma and instead wishes to marry her boyfriend, Karthik. Meanwhile, a middle-aged doctor, Kathyayani (Kathyu), secretly admires Bhagawath while supporting his mission. Parallelly, ruthless business tycoon Rahul Sanghvi seeks to usurp the government’s prestigious Project V. When the Deputy CM collects evidence against him, Sanghvi murders him, though his PA escapes with crucial proof. While fleeing, the PA hides the data on Vijji’s laptop, drawing Sanghvi’s henchmen toward her. Bhagawath intervenes, saving Vijji and confronting Sanghvi, revealing their long-standing rivalry.

Bhagawath narrates the past: once a gallant cop posted in a tribal zone, Nelakonda, he clashed with corrupt politician Sarath Sanghvi, Rahul’s father, after Sarath massacred forest officials. Bhagawath publicly arrested him, driving Sarath to suicide. Seeking revenge, Rahul framed Bhagawath with false charges, leading to his imprisonment. Learning this truth, Vijji abandons Karthik and vows to fulfill Bhagawath’s ambition by joining the Army.

With Bhagawath and Kathyu’s support, Vijji enrolls in a training academy, where she overcomes her fear despite initial humiliation from a coach who disdains women. Meanwhile, Rahul Sanghvi relentlessly attacks Bhagawath and targets Vijji. With the help of Ratan Shukla and the escaped PA, Bhagawath retrieves incriminating evidence. He then challenges Sanghvi to a final showdown, securing approval for a legally sanctioned duel. During the confrontation, Vijji proves her mettle, inspired by Bhagawath and Kathyu, while Bhagawath risks his life. Ultimately, he defeats and kills Rahul Sanghvi.

The film ends on a triumphant note, with Vijji achieving Bhagawath Kesari’s cherished goal of becoming a proud soldier of the Indian Army.
