Bhalevadivi Basu Story
The film begins at an airport where customs officers catch foreigners red-handed for wildlife smuggling, and Officer Banerjee shoots them. Before dying, they reveal their chieftain is Banerjee himself, who soon detonates a hospital blast. To counter the menace, the Government of India appoints a dynamic forest ranger, Sagar, to the Sileru forest. Taking charge with his loyal driver Balu, Sagar cracks down on traffickers and wins the trust of his subordinates and local tribes. A tribal girl, Nemali, is infatuated with him, while his senior officer, Swetha, also falls in love, leading to a romance. Amidst comic sequences, an anonymous social worker, Kavitha, arrives and is suspected of being a spy. Meanwhile, Banerjee escalates his poaching operations, which Sagar and Swetha foil, earning Sagar national recognition. During the inauguration of a hospital he builds with his prize money, Kavitha exposes him by revealing a photo of the real Sagar. Shockingly, the man admits the truth: he is Prabhu, not Sagar.
Kavitha, revealed as Sagar’s sister Sunitha, spins the past. Prabhu and his friend Jaggu were small-time thieves who once turned on corrupt cop CI Bhushan, earning his enmity. Later, Prabhu befriends the real Sagar, a bright youth who worked tirelessly to support his mother Lalithamma and sister Sunitha while awaiting his Indian Forest Service posting. When Sagar dies in an accident during a forest mission, Prabhu resolves to assume his identity to protect the family from shock and keep Lalithamma’s hopes alive. Though initially bitter, Sunitha recognizes Prabhu’s sacrifice, and Lalithamma accepts him as her elder son. As Prabhu maintains the disguise, Banerjee and CI Bhushan conspire to ruin the forest and expose him. With courage and integrity, Prabhu fights back, unmasks Banerjee’s crimes, and proves his innocence. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with Prabhu united with Swetha and embraced by Sagar’s family as their own.
