Dharma Kshetram Story

The film begins in a city torn apart by a political turf war between two dreaded goons, Durga Prasad and Pandu. Their rivalry infiltrates the students’ union, where Durga Prasad’s brother Sambhu Prasad brutally murders Pandu’s brother Prabhakar. A lecturer, Bharati, witnesses the crime and bravely decides to testify. Her younger brother Nagaraju, a loyal aide of Durga Prasad, tries to dissuade her but fails. On the day of her testimony, she is attacked near the court but is saved by Advocate Banerjee, a righteous and rebellious lawyer who ensures justice by convicting the culprits. Banerjee lives in an ideal family setup, with his sister married to an SP, and he himself is in love with Maithili, the daughter of a judge. However, his life takes a dark turn when his younger brother Kiran is kidnapped by Pandu’s gang. In retaliation, Sambhu Prasad assaults and kills Bharati, leading a furious Nagaraju to murder Sambhu before being gravely wounded. Banerjee cleverly manipulates the situation, pitting Durga Prasad and Pandu against each other in court. Ultimately, Pandu kills Sambhu, but both escape justice by colluding.

The feud intensifies as the political high command nominates Durga Prasad for the mayoral elections. Determined to stop him, Banerjee builds a case with Nagaraju’s testimony, leading to Durga’s temporary arrest. But Pandu manipulates the system, framing Nagaraju and eliminating him. During election time, Kiran lashes out in vain, only to be killed by the criminals. Devastated, Banerjee vows to end their tyranny and begins a ruthless vendetta, eliminating Durga Prasad’s henchmen one by one and eventually killing Pandu. Enraged, Durga Prasad captures and tortures Banerjee but goes on to win the election. In the climax, Banerjee storms Durga’s swearing-in ceremony and kills him before the assembly. The film closes on a solemn note with Banerjee surrendering to the judiciary, having avenged his loved ones but at the cost of becoming an outlaw.
