The Legacy of Dasu’s Balijepalli

The Dasu family embodies a distinguished heritage of poetry, philosophy, and social vision, rooted in the lives of Dasu Sriramulu and his wife, Smt. Ongole Savitri of Vijayawada. Revered for their wisdom and compassion, they were blessed with nine children—affectionately remembered as the Navaratnas (Nine Jewels).

The Balijepalli family, from Bethavolu in Gudivada, this lineage flourished through Sri Narasimham and Smt. Venkayamma, and further through Sri Dakshinamurthi and Smt. Sitharavamma, an educationist of rare dedication. Their children—sons and daughters alike—formed a constellation of talent and virtue, upholding values of learning, service, and integrity.

Living Tradition

This enduring tradition continues through Dr. Bhargava Teja, grandson of Sri Dakshinamurthi and Smt. Sitharavamma, and son of Dasu Dr. Hymavathi and Prof. Dr. Briz-Kishore. An educationist and visionary, Dr. Teja harmonizes heritage with modern thought, drawing inspiration from his roots while charting new directions in research, social engagement, and holistic well-being.

Guided by the legacy of his forebears, he carries forward the Balijepalli essence—where knowledge is cultivated as service, compassion is nurtured as strength, and tradition is transformed into a bridge toward the future.

Personal Journey

Raised with affection by his aunt, Smt. Challa Rukmini, and surrounded by brothers and cousins, Dr. Teja grew up in a circle of love and learning. His intellectual journey was deeply influenced by the mentorship of Sriman Avinash Malhotra (New York), inspiring his vision of Nurturing Knowledge, Spreading Hope.

A Journey of Brilliance

Dr. Teja completed his BCA, MBA, and Ph.D., publishing widely in national and international journals. As a consultant, he advised institutions such as ICFAI University and B.R. Ambedkar Open University. His book on Multimedia Applications and his research in event management showcased his versatility.
