Goppinti Alludu Story
The film begins with multi-millionaire Achyuta Ramayya, who lives with his three daughters, their wayward husbands, and the children of his deceased son — Sowmya and Jalandhara. The family is divided, with endless quarrels, and Sowmya is demeaned by all except Achyuta Ramayya, as she is considered the illegitimate progeny. Though Jalandhara outwardly shows affection, she secretly envies and despises her. Meanwhile, Murali Manohar, the son of tycoon SVR, returns from abroad. Wanting his son to experience the harmony of a joint family, SVR arranges an alliance with Jiddu Balamani, daughter of Bharadwaja. Unwilling, Murali flees to Switzerland. Coincidentally, Sowmya receives a job posting there, and the two meet at the airport, beginning their journey with playful quarrels. Once in Switzerland, Jalandhara’s scheming leaves Sowmya stranded, where she faces harassment from her boss Paramahamsa. Murali rescues her, has Paramahamsa jailed, and gradually falls in love with her. SVR, searching for his son, also arrives, learns about Sowmya’s family, and approves the match. When they return to India, Achyuta Ramayya too agrees, much to Jalandhara’s fury.
Soon after, tragedy strikes when SVR accidentally hits Achyuta Ramayya with his car. Jalandhara manipulates the family into blaming SVR and expelling him. Murali, determined to prove his sincerity, disguises himself as Bhimudu, a cook in the household, winning over the family with his patience and devotion. Jalandhara eventually discovers his identity, tries to trap him, and openly challenges his intentions. Despite her ploys, Murali continues to aid the family and earns their trust. After comic misunderstandings and trials, Jalandhara exposes him, and once again Achyuta Ramayya insults Murali. However, this time, the entire family sides with Murali and Sowmya, leading Achyuta Ramayya to realize his mistake and reconcile with SVR. Wedding preparations begin, but Jalandhara, in desperation, plots to kill Sowmya. Murali saves her, and Sowmya pleads for Jalandhara’s transformation. In the end, Jalandhara repents after soul-searching. Finally, the movie concludes happily with the marriage of Murali Manohar and Sowmya, reuniting both families.
