Guru Sishyulu Story
The film opens inside Central Jail, where two petty thieves, Raja and Babu, befriend Manohar, an innocent inmate facing the death penalty. Manohar recounts his tragic story: one day, while escorting his sister Sumathi, she is abducted by a taxi driver and exploited by the vile Muddu Krishna. When Manohar files a case against the culprit, Muddu Krishna’s elder brother, the wealthy Raja Shekaram, colludes with his ally Jairam and the corrupt Inspector Paramasivam. They eliminate the taxi driver and frame Manohar for the crime, leading to his conviction. Moved by his plight, Raja and Babu vow to save him, even injuring his hand to delay his execution. Once released, the duo sets their plan into motion. They first expose Paramasivam’s corruption and blackmail him into helping them. Raja then infiltrates Muddu Krishna’s circle as his bodyguard, while Babu falls for Raja Shekaram’s daughter, Chitra, and Raja himself courts Paramasivam’s daughter, Inspector Geeta. Meanwhile, the villains abduct Manohar’s parents, hoping to exploit Narayana Rao, his ailing father, for hidden treasure.
Babu masquerades as a wealthy suitor to win Chitra’s hand, demanding dowry as leverage to force Raja Shekaram’s confession, but his scheme is exposed and he is cast out. Undeterred, Raja and Babu cleverly sow discord among the villains until they discover Manohar’s parents in captivity—and Raja is stunned to realize they are his own, lost to him since childhood. Tensions flare when Babu believes Narayana Rao has wronged him, sparking a clash between the friends until the truth is revealed. Narayana Rao, once a principled Inspector, had been tasked with hunting the criminal Solomon, who knew of a hidden treasure. During this mission, Jairam murdered Babu’s parents while framing Narayana Rao, driving him to madness. With the past uncovered, Raja and Babu reconcile and team up to defeat Raja Shekaram, Jairam, and Muddu Krishna. They rescue the treasure, prove Manohar’s innocence, and restore their families. The story concludes on a joyful note with the marriages of Raja to Geeta and Babu to Chitra.
