Kattula Kondaiah Story
The film begins with the notorious ruffian Kattula Kondaiah, employed by two corrupt politicians—MLA Madhava Rao and his brother-in-law Prasad Rao—who secretly conspire with one another. Behind this façade, Kondaiah is revealed to be Kiran, a timid yet principled journalist striving to expose social injustices. Kiran is in love with Jyoti, the spirited daughter of Madhava Rao, and her brother, Inspector Vijay, supports their union. Meanwhile, Madhava Rao and Prasad Rao commit heinous crimes exposed by Kiran’s reports, leading them to attack him. At that moment, Narayana, a convict recently released from prison, saves Kiran. Narayana, recognizing Kiran as the son of his late friend Dharma Rao, mentors him into a fearless man. But the truth surfaces when Kiran’s mother, Annapurna, reveals that Narayana once killed her husband. Enraged, Kiran confronts Narayana, who then discloses the actual story: Dharma Rao, a man of integrity, was betrayed by their common friend Madhava Rao and his accomplice Prasad Rao, who murdered him for a lottery prize. Narayana was falsely convicted, taking the blame.
Consumed by vengeance, Kiran vows to punish the culprits. Around the same time, Vijay gathers evidence against Prasad Rao, but Madhava Rao betrays him. Seeking revenge, Prasad poisons Vijay, and during a chase, Kiran tampers with Madhava Rao’s car brakes. Tragedy strikes when Vijay, driving the poisoned vehicle, dies in an accident. Wracked with guilt, Kiran confesses everything to Jyoti and surrenders to the police. However, Narayana reveals the truth, clearing Kiran’s conscience. Escaping prison, Kiran transforms into the fearsome Kattula Kondaiah to take on the villains. In the climax, with the support of Narayana and Jyoti, Kiran proves his innocence and brings Madhava Rao and Prasad Rao to justice. The film ends on a happy note with the marriage of Kiran and Jyoti.
