Lakshmi Kataksham Story
The film revolves around the secret hidden treasure Lakshmi Bhandagaram, over which two kingdoms, Srungarapuram and Punardaranagaram, compete for generations. The saint Kondandapani is in pursuit of it with his disciples Prachanda, a malicious one, and Vinayadanda, an obedient one. Once, he walks to Madhura Varma, the king of Srungarapuram, who prophesies that the child in the womb of Queen Chandravati will achieve it. Kondandapani then proceeds to penance. Prachanda, who has covertly observed the first hint, attempts but fails. At that moment, he affirms that the prince of Madhura Varma is the only eligible one. So, he abducts and rears him as Kulavardhana immediately after his birth, pretending to be an orphan before Vinayadanda. Years pass, and Prachanda molds Kulavardhana into a generalist and gains insight. Assuming him futile, Prachanda withdraws his power and memory. Vinayadanda discovers Prachanda’s ruse. To gather clues, he is associated with Hemamalini, the queen of Punardaranagaram. He identifies the man with the Padmarekha lotus line on his palm to win the treasure. A rover, Kulavardhana, is guarded by a tribal girl, Singari, and they fall in love.
Prachanda acquires the second page of a manuscript, readable only by one with the same palm, and starts his hunt by defrauding the king and queen of Srungarapuram. Vinayadanda tries to read the manuscript, but Prachanda transforms him into a dog. In this form, he asks Kulavardhana for help, and together they restore their original forms with a bath in holy water. Vinayadanda declares that Kulavardhana is the lucky charm with the palm and warns him about Prachanda. Meanwhile, Prachanda forcibly draws Kulavardhana into Punardaranagaram, where the King and Queen show unknown warmth to him. Kulavardhana tactically counters Prachanda without revealing manuscript details. Vinayadanda informs Hemamalini of the situation, and she intrudes disguised as a maid, falling for Kulavardhana. Kulavardhana enters Punardaranagaram with Hemamalini, Prachanda, and Madhura Varma’s armies. Prachanda realizes Hemamalini’s betrayal and tries to enforce his witchcraft, but Vinayadanda defeats him, capturing all. Hemamalini frees Prachanda and Madhura Varma while holding Kulavardhana. After an adventurous journey, Kulavardhana triumphs over the treasure with the blessings of goddess Lakshmi, learns the secret of his birth, and defeats Prachanda, who is cursed into a snake by Kondandapani. The movie ends happily with Kulavardhana’s crowning ceremony.
