Lakshmi Narasimha Story

The film begins in Vijayawada, a city terrorized by the tyrannical rule of Dharmabhiksham, whose reign is soaked in crime and corruption. Into this chaos arrives DCP Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, a fearless officer who enforces his own rules—his men may act freely, but never at the expense of the public. He cracks down on thugs, restores law and order, and quickly wins the people’s trust. Enraged, Dharmabhiksham confronts him with threats of transfer, only to be stunned when Swamy coolly accepts on his own terms. Around this time, Swamy encounters Rukmini, a college-going girl who initially mistakes him for a crook but later realizes his integrity. Their chance meetings turn into love. Meanwhile, when Dharmabhiksham’s gas station goons attack customers for questioning fuel tampering, Swamy seals it, only to be defamed as Dharmabhiksham’s “suborner.” Rukmini despises corruption and spurns him—until Swamy reveals his past. After becoming an IPS officer, he once tried to wipe out Dharmabhiksham’s syndicate but lost his sister and innocent villagers in retaliation. Framed with false charges and dismissed, his father bribed officials to reinstate him and urged him to stay in service for the villagers’ sake. Thus, he accepted bribes only as cover—an irony Dharmabhiksham never knew. Convinced of his virtue, Rukmini reconciles, and their alliance is arranged.

On the eve of a festival, Swamy defies a bandh orchestrated by Dharmabhiksham’s party and ensures vendors’ safety, forcing the protest to collapse. Enraged, Dharmabhiksham strikes back during Swamy’s wedding by bombing the market. Though shaken, Swamy counters with strategic enforcement, dismantling much of Dharmabhiksham’s empire within a week—the deadline before his transfer. Cornered, Dharmabhiksham plants a bomb at Swamy’s house. Swamy sends Rukmini away, but tragically, his father takes her place and dies in the blast. Devastated, Swamy gathers irrefutable evidence, secures an arrest warrant, and launches a relentless manhunt. At last, he captures Dharmabhiksham, who mocks him and pretends readiness to surrender. Swamy, unwilling to let justice slip away, executes him in a secret encounter, cremates the body, and labels it as a “missing case” to prevent riots. The film ends with Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy continuing his duty—unyielding, resolute, and bound only by justice.
