Aadarsam Story

The film begins at an orphanage where Jyothi, a mischievous and spirited girl, often breaks the rules. One day, she discovers her family—her alcoholic father Suryanarayana and his kind-hearted wife Savitri, who already have two daughters, Lalitha and Vani. Blaming Savitri for bearing only girls, Suryanarayana had earlier abandoned Jyothi at the orphanage. Now, Jyothi returns and forces herself into his life, taking charge of household responsibilities and inspiring her sisters to pursue their dreams. Over time, Lalitha becomes a schoolteacher and later clears the IAS exam, while Vani earns fame as a singer, though Suryanarayana remains unaware. Meanwhile, Devi Prasad, a notorious gangster, runs illegal activities under the guise of auto services. Jyothi acquires an auto with help from Chakrapani, a good-hearted man who secretly opposes Devi Prasad, and love blossoms between them. Inspector Shivaji, a strict widower cop whose daughter Veena is Lalitha’s student, takes up the mission to bring down Devi Prasad. Vani joins a music troupe under Pardhasaradhi, who admires her despite her lofty ambitions.

Eventually, Suryanarayana learns of his daughters’ accomplishments, but when he insults them, they leave home with Savitri and move to a colony threatened by Devi Prasad’s son Prem, who exploits people through a cultural club. Though Savitri continues to care for him, Suryanarayana regrets his mistakes. Lalitha, now a Collector, marries Shivaji and promptly shuts down Prem’s operations. Enraged, Prem deceives and humiliates Vani, prompting her attempted suicide before Pardhasaradhi rescues her and accepts her wholeheartedly. Later, Savitri tries to kill Prem, but Suryanarayana takes the step instead, while Jyothi, Shivaji, and Chakrapani finally bring down Devi Prasad. In the end, Suryanarayana proudly acknowledges his ideal daughters before heading to prison, as the family finds strength and honor in their struggles.
