Antahpuram Story
The film begins in Mauritius, where Bhanumati (Bhanu), a playful and spirited young woman, lives with her uncle Bobby. There she meets Prakash, an orphan, and the two fall in love, marry, and are blessed with a baby boy named Raja. One day, Prakash learns of violent clashes in his hometown of Rayalaseema and attempts to contact his mother but fails. Worried, he takes Bhanu and Raja back to India, where Bhanu discovers that Prakash has hidden his true identity—he is the son of Narasimha, a powerful faction leader. Unable to bear the brutality of his father’s world, Prakash had earlier left for Mauritius. As soon as they arrive, Narasimha’s enemies try to kill Prakash but fail due to the intervention of his father’s men. The family is brought to Prakash’s ancestral home, where Bhanu is horrified by the oppressive culture. She resists Narasimha’s attempts to bond with Raja but finds comfort in her affectionate mother-in-law. When Prakash plans to return to Mauritius, he entrusts their passports to his friend, Inspector Chinna. However, while attending a wedding in his father’s place, Prakash is ambushed and killed.
Bhanu, devastated, wishes to flee with her son but is persuaded by her mother-in-law to stay for Prakash’s funeral. Narasimha, however, insists on keeping Raja as an heir to avenge his father’s death. Bhanu protests, attempts several escapes, but is imprisoned in the house. Meanwhile, Sarai Veeraraju, a small-time thief dreaming of reaching Dubai, crosses paths with her when she escapes with her mother-in-law’s help. Bhanu offers him the money for his Dubai dream in exchange for aiding her escape. Together they evade Narasimha’s men and his enemies, culminating in Veeraraju sacrificing his life to put Bhanu and Raja safely on a train. Finally, Narasimha confronts Bhanu at the airport, but instead of stopping her, he admits his mistakes and asks for forgiveness. Bhanu departs with Raja, forgiving him, while the boy bids a heartfelt goodbye to his grandfather.
