Chilakapachcha Kaapuram Story

The film begins in a village near the Godavari, where Parasuramaiah and Bullabbai—brothers-in-law and bitter rivals—compete for leadership. Gopala Krishna, a beloved boatman, hopes to end their conflict. Satyavati, Parasuramaiah’s daughter, secretly loves him. Meanwhile, Bullabbai brings a young woman, Radha, from the city and keeps her secluded in a mansion. Curious, Gopala Krishna sneaks inside, befriends Radha, and the two fall in love. When Gopala Krishna’s mother, Ramulamma, proposes marriage between him and Satyavati, Parasuramaiah humiliates her for daring to suggest such a match with a boatman’s son. Shattered, Ramulamma commits suicide, pushing Gopala Krishna to attack Parasuramaiah, nearly killing him before being stopped by Parasuramaiah’s wife. Seeking vengeance, Parasuramaiah allies with Bullabbai, and together they stab Gopala Krishna.

Radha rescues Gopala Krishna and takes him to a hospital, where she reveals her tragic past: once a simple girl caring for her ailing mother, she was exploited by Bullabbai, who tried to make her his mistress. Determined to protect her, Gopala Krishna decides to marry Radha. Meanwhile, Parasuramaiah’s wife persuades her husband to reform and accept Satyavati’s love, though Satyavati ultimately sacrifices her feelings for Gopala Krishna. In the climax, Bullabbai attacks the couple, but the villagers rise against him and kill him. The film ends on a happy note with the union of Gopala Krishna and Radha, and peace restored in the village.
