Sankalpam Story

The film begins with Krishna Murthy, a determined youth who dreams of establishing a biscuit factory named Annapurna on government-allotted land given to his freedom fighter father, Prakasam. He lays the foundation stone but immediately faces obstacles from corrupt officials and a disobedient family that doubts his vision. At the same time, Gaddapalugu Chenchu Ramayah, a ruthless land mafia don, rules the city until the arrival of dynamic municipal commissioner Vyjayanthi, who dares to challenge him. Though he tries to intimidate her, she stands firm. Meanwhile, Krishna Murthy loves his cousin Rukmini, but her father doubts his success and arranges her marriage elsewhere. Defiant, Krishna Murthy marries Rukmini himself, though she struggles to adjust to her new household and fails to understand his purpose.

Chenchu Ramayah vows to seize Krishna Murthy’s factory through wealth, threats, and forged documents. Unaware of the fraud, Vyjayanthi initially certifies the land as illegal and issues a notice, sparking conflict. Soon realizing her mistake, she cancels the demolition and supports Krishna Murthy, who continues to resist Chenchu Ramayah’s attacks with courage. As Vyjayanthi stands by him, Rukmini misinterprets their bond and confronts her, only for Vyjayanthi to reveal her tragic past—her younger brother committed suicide after society denied him opportunities. To prevent Krishna Murthy from meeting the same fate, she vows to help him. Realizing her husband’s integrity, Rukmini reconciles with him. In the climax, Chenchu Ramayah attempts to blow up the factory, but Krishna Murthy thwarts the plan, defeats him, and saves his dream. The film ends on a triumphant note with Vyjayanthi inaugurating the Annapurna Biscuit Factory.
