Pavitra Hrudayalu Story
Zamindar Bhujanga Rao has two grandsons, Narendra Babu and Ravindra Babu. His pernicious nephew, Seshagiri, schemes to usurp his wealth. He corrupts Narendra into becoming a drunkard, prompting Bhujanga Rao to disown him and give him his share, while Ravindra excels as a famous singer. Meanwhile, Sivaiah, Bhujanga Rao’s clerk, lives with his wife Annapurna and two daughters, Susheela and Vijaya. Since Sivaiah is degenerate, Susheela becomes the sole breadwinner. Once, Sivaiah commits theft at his office and is apprehended, but Bhujanga Rao pardons him while firing him. Times worsen when their landlord, Panakalu, attempts to rape Susheela, and Sivaiah kills him in defense, paying a penalty. Susheela attempts suicide but is saved by Narendra. Meanwhile, Seshagiri falsely accuses Ravindra of debauchery, leading to his estrangement from Bhujanga Rao. He plots to kill Ravindra, but Vijaya protects him, and they fall in love. Narendra reforms his vices and develops a romantic bond with Susheela.
Seshagiri then spots a doppelganger of Bhujanga Rao and fakes his death to seize the treasure. He slyly incriminates Ravindra, turning him against his brother. Seshagiri attacks Narendra, but Ravindra realizes Narendra’s integrity through Susheela. Ravindra uncovers Seshagiri’s treachery and works to expose him. Before departing, he entrusts Vijaya and Annapurna’s care to Narendra, who is delighted to find Susheela alive. In the climax, Ravindra, in various disguises, defeats Seshagiri and rescues his grandfather. The movie concludes happily with the marriages of the two couples.
