Thodu Dongalu Story

Lokanatham is a mill proprietor who suppresses the workers with the help of his sly manager, Paramesam. One day, a worker named Ramudu dies in an accident. To avoid paying compensation, the two conspire and throw his body from a hillock. After some time, Paramesam witnesses the suffering of Ramudu’s devastated family. Soon, Ramudu’s ghost begins haunting him, and he becomes terminally ill. On an astrologer’s advice, Paramesam shifts to Madras, leaving behind his family, but the ghost continues to pursue him.

One day, a worker named Bheemanna shelters him after finding him unconscious on the road. Paramesam reveals his entire story and offers him wealth in gratitude, but Bheemanna refuses and instead advises him to help Ramudu’s family. A reformed Paramesam returns and urges Lokanatham to compensate Ramudu’s family. Initially, Lokanatham refuses but relents when Paramesam threatens to expose their cruelties. Now wishing to die peacefully, Paramesam surprisingly wakes up the next day completely hale and healthy, freed from his guilt. Finally, the movie ends happily with Lokanatham handing over the mill to Paramesam.
