Uma Sundari Story

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom called Mahendra Puram. Its King, Raja Shekara, dotes on his sibling, Uma Sundari. Queen Neelaveni aspires to marry Uma with her kin Alankar Bhupathi. However, Uma loves and weds her beloved Vijayarayalu, the King of Raya Durgam, which begrudges Neelaveni and makes her seek vengeance. Time passes, and Uma Sundari is blessed with seven children. Meanwhile, Raya Durgam suffers a cataclysmic drought. Uma seeks her brother’s aid, which fails due to Neelaveni’s wile.

Currently, the public affronts Uma as doom, and she quits with her children. Parallelly, Raja Shekara discerns his sister’s plight and proceeds to help. Devastated, Vijayarayalu accuses Raja Shekara and leaves the fort. At Mahendra Puram, Neelaveni scorns Uma, who drowns her children in a well out of hunger and anguish. After returning, Raja Shekara learns of Neelaveni’s ruse, upon which she commits suicide. At the same time, Vijayarayalu becomes insane and a wanderer until Shiva appears as a beggar, guides him to reach his wife, and retrieves their children and kingdom.
