Akka Pettanam Chelleli Kapuram Story
The film begins with Ranganayaki, a staunch misandrist who firmly believes all men are cheats, and influences her younger sister, the naïve Chinni, to think the same way. Satyanarayana, a cheerful and easygoing man, works for a quirky couple, Ammaji and Brahmaji. Through a series of comic incidents, he impresses Chinni, and the two fall in love. Satyanarayana approaches Ranganayaki for approval, where she lays down strict conditions and tests him. To her surprise, he passes, and the marriage is arranged. However, Ranganayaki continues to poison Chinni’s mind, causing her to suspect and nag Satyanarayana over trivial matters, leading to humorous situations. Later, Satyanarayana travels to Vizag for official work and meets his best friend, Radha Krishna, who introduces him to his fiancée, Sona. Tragedy strikes when Radha dies saving Satyanarayana. Feeling responsible, Satyanarayana takes Sona under his care, especially since she is pregnant with Radha’s child. To avoid Chinni’s suspicions, he keeps Sona in a company guest house, juggling between both women. Soon, Chinni too becomes pregnant, and both women give birth to baby boys.
The truth eventually comes out through Brahmaji, and Chinni, manipulated by Ranganayaki, explodes with anger, accusing Satyanarayana and Sona of dishonor. Matters escalate as Chinni, fueled by her sister’s influence, subjects her husband to humiliation and even demands a divorce. When Satyanarayana refuses, she forces him to marry Sona. Just as the wedding is about to happen, Sona slaps Satyanarayana in disgust, and Brahmaji intervenes, revealing that Satyanarayana’s only motive was to uphold Radha’s dying wish and protect Sona. The shocking truth awakens everyone, but the situation turns grim when a guilt-ridden Sona attempts self-sacrifice. At the last moment, Chinni, holding her baby, realizes her mistake and begs Satyanarayana’s forgiveness. In the end, the family unites, everyone rebukes Ranganayaki for her arrogance, and she is humbled. The film concludes on a happy note with harmony restored.
