Alibaba Aradajanu Dongalu Story
The film begins with a bumbling cop, Alibaba, and six thieves constantly clashing with two rival gangs—Kotaiah & Co. and the Brahmam brothers—causing chaos in the city. Under orders from the SP, Alibaba is tasked with controlling them with his giant dog, but the gangs outsmart him. The thieves also care for two sisters, Poolan Devi and Pooja Bedi, whom they raised with affection. Alibaba lives with his overbearing uncle, a head constable who secured his post, and his aunt Balamani, who has awaited the return of her missing husband, Ekalingam, for 50 years. Balamani treasures a diamond worth ₹25 lakhs, promising it to anyone who brings news of her husband. The gangs, aware of this, attempt to trick her by disguising as Ekalingam but are exposed. Meanwhile, the SP, frustrated with Alibaba’s repeated failures, nearly suspends him but gives him one last chance: to arrest the dreaded hooligan Appaji. Terrified, Alibaba fakes Appaji’s capture with his cooperation, but when Appaji is genuinely imprisoned in Tihar Jail, he vows revenge.
Complications arise when the thieves plot to marry their sisters to Alibaba in order to seize Balamani’s diamond. Poolan Devi tricks Alibaba into a forced marriage, while on the same night, Pooja Bedi is maneuvered into spending time with him, leaving Alibaba hilariously torn between two “wives.” Unable to seek help from the SP out of fear, Alibaba endures endless torment as both sisters and their gangs move into his house, turning his life into comic misery. When Appaji escapes, he abducts Poolan Devi and Pooja Bedi, demanding Balamani’s diamond. Alibaba, believing himself doomed after a saint prophesies he has only three months to live, bravely confronts Appaji. In the climax, Alibaba joins forces with the six thieves, defeats Appaji, and rescues his wives. The story ends on a comedic note when the prized “diamond” is revealed to be nothing more than a British paperweight, while Alibaba accepts life with both queens amid laughter.
