Bamma Maata Bangaru Baata Story
The film begins in a village ruled by its chieftain, Rajyalakshmi, a formidable and authoritative woman. Her husband, Suraiah, is a nominal figure—lazy and dependent on his wife’s power. The couple raises their heir, Krishna Murthy (Kishtaiah), an orphaned infant whom Rajyalakshmi showers with boundless affection. Though Kishtaiah takes five years to complete his graduation, Rajyalakshmi celebrates his success, blind to his folly. One day, Kishtaiah rescues Sita, a girl feigning blindness to escape a forced marriage into a human trafficking racket. He shelters her secretly at Govindu’s hotel, where they fall in love. Unaware, Rajyalakshmi fixes a wealthy alliance for Kishtaiah. When Sita’s pursuers and her father arrive to attack, Kishtaiah protects her, and the two marry at a police station. When they seek Rajyalakshmi’s blessing, she disowns them out of humiliation. Heartbroken, Kishtaiah and Sita leave for the city, where a kind police officer shelters them in his outhouse. They find work as a peon and stenographer for lawyers Kutumba Rao and Kireeti, concealing their marriage since the jobs are reserved for singles. Trouble brews as Kireeti desires Sita, while typist Rita lusts after Kishtaiah, causing jealousy and misunderstandings between the couple. Meanwhile, Rajyalakshmi yearns for Kishtaiah but, unable to find him, vows to donate her wealth to a temple.
In a twist, Suraiah spots Kishtaiah working at Kutumba Rao’s office and brings the family together. Around the same time, the inspector’s wife entrusts her baby to Sita temporarily, and Suraiah mistakenly believes the child is Kishtaiah’s son. Overjoyed, Rajyalakshmi rushes to see her supposed great-grandson. To cover the misunderstanding, Kishtaiah turns to Anasuya, a conwoman who rents babies for schemes. She tricks them by disguising a girl as a boy and infiltrating their household, sparking comedic chaos. Sita, distressed, suspects Kishtaiah of being involved with Anasuya, only to reveal later that she is pregnant. Rajyalakshmi, however, had seen through Anasuya’s fraud from the beginning and was only playing along. When Anasuya’s ruffian husband retaliates by kidnapping the women with the aid of a scientist’s magical “Super Car,” a thrilling chase unfolds. In the climax, Rajyalakshmi bravely fights back, joined by Kishtaiah, who defeats the villains. The story ends joyfully with Sita giving birth to twins and the entire family reuniting under Rajyalakshmi’s protection.
