Bhama Kalapam Story
The film begins with Krishna Murthy, a cheerful gentleman who lives a happy life with his ideal wife Sarada and their wealth. Sarada, though affectionate, is naïve and overly clings to her husband. Their blissful life takes a turn when Sarada’s cousin Prameela, a misandrist, arrives and poisons the women’s minds by claiming their husbands are slickers maintaining external affairs. Sarada becomes a puppet in Prameela’s hands and starts pestering Krishna Murthy with endless suspicions, forcing him to escape her antics. Seeking help, Krishna Murthy turns to his friend Dr. Anjaneyulu, who cleverly tricks and marries Prameela off, putting an end to her influence. Meanwhile, Krishna Murthy unexpectedly meets his former love, Kavitha, and old memories resurface. Years earlier, Krishna Murthy had fallen in love with Kavitha, his colleague. To win her heart, he became a pupil under her father, Brahmandam, an ayurvedic doctor. After many hurdles, their marriage was arranged, but Krishna Murthy overheard Kavitha mocking him and scorning his status, which broke his spirit, and he left town.
In the present, Krishna Murthy discovers Kavitha as his son Tinku’s teacher and later realizes she is now the wife of his friend Sridhar. However, her marriage is strained. Misunderstanding the situation, Sarada creates a scene, humiliating both Krishna Murthy and Kavitha. Soon after, Krishna Murthy learns the truth from Sridhar—that Kavitha had only teased him in jest years ago and was forced into marriage by her parents. Still haunted by her past love, Kavitha keeps distance from her husband and even attempts suicide. Krishna Murthy rescues her and gently convinces her of the importance of marriage, assuring her of his true devotion to Sarada. In the end, Sarada recognizes her husband’s virtue and seeks forgiveness. Krishna Murthy reconciles Kavitha and Sridhar, restoring their marriage, while Dr. Anjaneyulu also reforms Prameela. Finally, the film ends happily with peace and unity restored.
