Brahmachari Mogudu Story
The film begins with Rambabu, a jobless bachelor and the only son of Madhavaiah and Savitramma. He secures a clerk-cum-typist job at a private company owned by Kutumba Rao, who despises bachelors for misleading his sister. Out of spite, Kutumba Rao humiliates Rambabu by assigning him menial tasks such as cleaning tables, fetching water, and maintaining lavatories. Rambabu endures this treatment due to his probation period. Meanwhile, his colleague Rani tries to flirt with him, adding to his discomfort. Frustrated, Rambabu seeks advice from his friend Gurunadam, who suggests faking a marriage. Rambabu prints wedding invitations using a random girl’s photograph, which temporarily protects him from Kutumba Rao’s harassment. Shockingly, the same girl, Jayalakshmi, appears claiming to be his wife, with supporting evidence, and even Rambabu’s parents accept her as their daughter-in-law. Though initially silenced by fear of his boss, Rambabu vows to expose Jaya’s supposed deception, while she counters with her own determination to make him acknowledge her as his husband.
A series of comic situations ensues as Rambabu tries to prove the truth. He attends a gathering with his parents where Jaya insists the marriage is real. He even writes anonymous letters accusing her of fraud, but his efforts fail. Matters worsen when Rani again tries to romance him, not knowing he is “married,” leading to a confrontation with her retired-colonel husband. Meanwhile, Jaya reveals the truth: Rambabu’s fake wedding invitations ruined her life by breaking off her arranged marriage, and the humiliation led to her mother Shantamma’s death. Overcome with guilt, Madhavaiah and Savitramma accept Jaya as their daughter-in-law. Rambabu, realizing the depth of his mistake, sincerely regrets his actions, seeks forgiveness, and resolves to set things right. In the end, he marries Jaya for real, and the story concludes on a happy note.
