Brahmastram Story
The film begins with Vidyasagar, a fearless barrister devoted to justice who will go to any lengths to defend the innocent. He even wins a case by proving his point through a daring act of consuming poison in court. His rival, Advocate Parthasarathi, envies his success and seeks opportunities to defeat him. Vidyasagar falls in love with Jaya, the sister of his friend Inspector Jaganatham. His greatest affection, however, is for his blind sister Jyoti, who studies at a blind school. In his circle is the devious industrialist Nagaraju, who deceives a young woman named Anuradha and abandons her after she bears his child. Vidyasagar takes up her case, proving Nagaraju’s guilt and forcing him to accept responsibility. Humiliated, Nagaraju vows revenge. Meanwhile, a kind-hearted man named Raja joins the blind school as a tutor, wins Jyoti’s heart, and marries her with Vidyasagar’s blessing.
Soon after, a man named Gopanna approaches Vidyasagar, confessing his intent to kill someone who wronged his insane daughter, Lakshmi. Believing in Gopanna’s pursuit of justice, Vidyasagar vows to defend him. However, when the supposed victim turns out to be Raja, Vidyasagar is torn. He investigates while Raja is arrested for murder, and even Gopanna nearly kills him before realizing Raja’s integrity as Jyoti’s husband. With Jaya’s encouragement, Vidyasagar digs deeper and learns that Raja once rescued Lakshmi from attackers and gave her shelter, but after he left, someone else murdered her. Vidyasagar uncovers a crucial clue—a glass eye belonging to the real culprit—and suspects Nagaraju. In court, he cleverly exposes Nagaraju’s crimes, forcing him to flee. Ultimately, Gopanna kills Nagaraju in vengeance, and Vidyasagar secures his acquittal. The film ends on a triumphant note with Vidyasagar and Jaya’s marriage, while justice prevails.
