Brundavanam Story
The film begins with Latha, the daughter of a millionaire, Panakala Swamy, fleeing home to avoid a reluctant alliance. She lands at Tirupati, where she is acquainted with a guy named Ravi during a squabble. Ravi lives with his parents and grandmother, Lakshmi Devi. Once, Balu, Ravi’s best friend, is in a jam over his love for a girl, Tara, who is also Latha’s buddy. Since Balu is terrified of his grandfather, Jeedimetla Zamindar, he convinces Ravi and Latha to pose as his parents in old attire to fix the match. The plan backfires upon Zamindar’s arrival, but in the chaos, Ravi and Latha fall in love. By destiny, Panakalu is also preparing to finalize Latha’s wedlock with Balu. Meanwhile, Guru Murthy, an [[Indian diaspora|NRI]] raised by Ravi’s grandfather Jagannadham, invites Lakshmi Devi to the inauguration of his company in [[Hyderabad]]. There, Lakshmi Devi revolts and collapses after sighting Panakalu while launching Jagannadham’s photograph, accusing Panakalu of being her husband’s hitman. Shocked, Ravi demands to know the truth, and she recounts the past. Years ago, Jagannadham dreamed of building a house called Brundavanam in the city to enjoy after retirement. At that time, he sheltered their distant relative Panakalu and entrusted him with construction duties. However, slick Panakalu hoodwinked him and occupied the house. Despite legal proceedings, Jagannadham failed because of Panakalu’s scams, which eventually led to his death. Hearing this, Ravi pledges to retrieve their property.
Ravi forges himself as a big fish in a multinational corporation. With Balu’s help, he tenants half of the residence and moves in, only to be startled to see Latha there. She mingles with him and gets the total truth. From there, Ravi undertakes a series of comic antics: mocking Panakalu by counterfeiting a murder, creating the illusion of a ghost in the house, and more. The tortures vex Panakalu, who finally considers selling the home. However, Ravi’s plan backfires when Panakalu discovers the truth after reading a letter written by Lakshmi Devi. Enraged, Panakalu tries to expel him, but Ravi cleverly sticks to the legal side. Meanwhile, Balu also runs a parallel drama—posing Tara as a maid named Raave—to teach his grandfather a lesson. Simultaneously, Ravi dons another guise as Tycoon Upendra Nath, hiring a palace and putting it up for auction at a low price. Panakalu, tempted, bargains all his assets to acquire it. In the middle of the deal, the actual owner Perumallu appears, leading to a humorous confusion. Parallelly, Ravi uses the funds supplied by Panakalu’s own hands to reclaim their house with his father. At last, Ravi exposes Panakalu’s frauds, seizes his entire wealth, and closes his drama. A regretful Panakalu apologizes to Lakshmi Devi, who forgives him. Finally, the movie ends happily with the marriage of Ravi & Latha.
