Chettu Kinda Pleader Story
The film begins with Gopala Krishna, a self-made industrialist who lives happily with his wife Sujatha and their young son, Nani. Tragedy strikes when he dies in a car accident while returning home on their wedding day. At his funeral, his estranged father Sarabhaiah arrives, attempting to reconcile with Sujatha for control of the estate, but she rejects him. Meanwhile, Balaraju, a timid and bumbling lawyer, constantly falters in court, supported only by his loyal cousin and follower Krishna Kumari. Sarabhaiah soon schemes a lawsuit claiming Sujatha’s marriage to Gopala Krishna was invalid, seeking to strip her of inheritance. Betrayed even by Gopala Krishna’s friend and advocate Basavaraju—whom Sarabhaiah manipulates—Sujatha finds herself helpless, harassed by Sarabhaiah’s thugs, and stripped of evidence of her marriage. In desperation, she turns to Balaraju, who reluctantly accepts the case thinking it simple, but soon realizes its complexity. After being attacked by goons, Balaraju initially withdraws, but when beaten again while filing a complaint, he resolves to fight courageously.
In court, Sarabhaiah’s side fabricates alibis, painting Sujatha as a disgraced woman—once arrested for prostitution and later confined in a rescue home as a psychiatric patient. Balaraju confronts Sujatha for hiding her past, and she reveals the truth: an orphan raised by an association, she was molested by Gopala Krishna’s manager during a job interview, falsely arrested by police, and left mentally shattered. It was Gopala Krishna who rescued her, offered her dignity back, and eventually married her. Deeply moved, Balaraju transforms into a fearless advocate, aided by Krishna Kumari and a loyal bouncer, Alex. Together, they counterstrike the villains. His investigation leads him to Bhagavantham, Gopala Krishna’s best friend, who provides critical evidence. In a shocking revelation, Balaraju exposes that Sarabhaiah was Gopala Krishna’s stepfather, who had earlier murdered his own father and married his mother for wealth. On the day of the accident, Sarabhaiah quarreled with Gopala Krishna over property and orchestrated his death. Sarabhaiah, cornered, flees but endangers Sujatha and Nani. In the climax, Balaraju defeats the villains and rescues them. The film concludes on a happy note with Balaraju marrying Krishna Kumari.
