Chevilo Puvvu Story
The film begins with Prasad, an unemployed youth plagued by sleepwalking. One fateful night, he wanders into his cousin Ratna’s bridal chamber, and her suspicious groom, Paramatma, threatens divorce unless compensated with ₹20,000. Out of guilt, Prasad vows to arrange the money within six months and heads to the city. There, he befriends Anupama, daughter of wealthy Ranga Rao, who is impressed by his innocence and sincerity. She offers him a job and discreetly provides the money, enabling Prasad to restore Ratna’s marriage. Gradually, Prasad wins the warmth of his colleagues—Manager Venkateswara Rao, Satti Babu, Anjaneyulu, Srilakshmi, and Peon Appa Rao—and falls for Anupama. Just as he proposes, he learns she is a widow, but undeterred, he accepts her wholeheartedly, and their romance blossoms.
As the wedding approaches, Paramatma—revealed as Ranga Rao’s nephew—plots against them. Worse still, Prasad is diagnosed with terminal cancer after a sleepwalking incident. Heartbroken, he fabricates a story of being an imposter to distance Anupama, earning her hatred. Soon, Paramatma’s sinister plan surfaces: he covets Anupama’s wealth and has even murdered Ratna in secret. Later, Prasad discovers his diagnosis was a mistake—the reports were mixed up. He rushes back for Anupama, only to find her missing. Years later, she reappears as a high-ranking executive, still harboring anger, until the truth emerges—her supposed marriage was a ruse to fend off predatory men. Just as their union is set, Paramatma strikes again, sedating Prasad and dumping him on railway tracks. Ironically, his sleepwalking saves him, and friends rescue him as police arrest Paramatma. In a comic twist, Anupama too reveals she suffers from sleepwalking, and the film ends humorously with the two finding love while guarding each other from their nightly wanderings.
