Gaali Sampath Story
The film begins in [[Araku]], where a mute man named Sampath, who can only make noises, is known to everyone as “Gaali” Sampath. He lives with his son Suri, a devoted truck driver who cares for his father diligently, as Sampath suffers from respiratory issues. Sampath despises the rain, cursing it whenever it falls, as he blames it for the greatest tragedies of his life. Despite his disability, Sampath dreams of becoming an actor and persistently chases drama troupe proprietor Veerabhadram for a chance, but his efforts remain futile. Meanwhile, Suri falls in love with Papa, the daughter of the local Sarpanch, and convinces her father to agree to their marriage once he is financially stable. To achieve this, Suri plans to buy his own truck and secretly borrows {{INRConvert|500000}} from bank manager Haribabu, promising repayment within a week, and keeps the money at home. At the same time, Sampath prepares to participate in a drama competition but learns that he needs to bribe Veerabhadram {{INRConvert|500000}} to secure an opportunity. He ropes in Suri’s friend Gagan, helping him in a love affair in exchange for the money. To Sampath’s misfortune, the girl turns out to be Papa, and Gagan sabotages Suri’s alliance by tricking Sampath into creating a commotion—unaware that it would ruin his own son’s match. In the end, Gagan betrays Sampath and withholds the money. Desperate, Sampath steals the cash Suri saved for his truck, hoping to repay him after winning the {{INRConvert|800000}} prize money from the drama contest.
Sampath goes on to deliver a powerful mime performance about a man unable to feed his baby due to poverty, which wins thunderous applause. That very day, however, Suri discovers his father’s betrayal and abandons him, cursing him to die. Heartbroken, Sampath attempts suicide, and during heavy rain—his sworn enemy—he accidentally falls into a deserted well in their backyard. Meanwhile, the Station Master, Sampath’s best friend, reveals to Suri the truth about his father’s sacrifices: Sampath was once a celebrated radio jockey who had a golden chance to become an actor but gave it all up to care for Suri’s fragile health. Years ago, on a rainy day, he not only lost his wife in an accident but also his voice, leaving him mute and bitter towards the rain forever. It is only now that Suri realizes the depth of his father’s love and the pain behind his broken dreams.
