The film begins in Vizag, where renowned criminal lawyer Gopalam enjoys a blissful life with his devoted wife Sita, who loves him with unwavering faith. Their only son, Pardhu, is reckless and wayward. One day, on a dare, Pardhu kisses his college mate—the daughter of faction leader Kapada Reddamma. Enraged, she attacks Gopalam with a sword and vows to kill Pardhu. Fearing for his son’s life, Gopalam sends Pardhu to Bangkok, to stay with his carefree friend Ek Niranjan. There, Pardhu falls for a young woman, Meenakshi. Meanwhile, Gopalam begins working with eccentric writer Padmabhushan Paidipala, whose every script prediction oddly comes true in Gopalam’s household.

Soon, Sita travels to Bangkok to arrange Pardhu’s marriage. Through Meenakshi, she meets her aunt Malliswari, who nurtured her. To Sita’s shock, Malliswari stipulates that Sita must marry her to Gopalam in exchange for Pardhu’s alliance with Meenakshi. Heartbroken, Sita and Pardhu return, scorning Gopalam. Later, however, Sita reconsiders and invites Malliswari and Meenakshi back, arranging the wedding despite Pardhu’s protests. At the same time, Gopalam faces pressure from his brother-in-law Venkata Ratnam and his henchman Rama Swamy, adding to the chaos.

In a dramatic twist, Padmabhushan collapses after overhearing the truth: the entire drama was Gopalam’s ploy to restore Malliswari’s lost honor. Years earlier, Malliswari, once wealthy, entrusted Gopalam with a property case that he failed, leading to her ruin. Wracked with guilt, Gopalam supported her secretly while fate compelled him to marry Sita after her first groom was exposed as a fraud and killed by Venkata Ratnam. Since then, he had juggled both duties—husband to Sita and silent savior to Malliswari.

When the truth finally surfaces, Pardhu initially condemns his father but later realizes his integrity through Meenakshi’s explanation. Rama Swamy tries to expose Gopalam, but a series of mishaps prevent him. Ultimately, Malliswari herself rejects further complications, and everyone comes together. The film ends on a happy note with the family reunited and harmony restored.
