Jayammu Nischayammu Raa Story
The film begins with two inseparable friends, Rambabu and Suribabu, who live as tenants in the house of Gopalam, a music player, and his eccentric wife Kantham, who pesters everyone by embracing those who remind her of their late son, Chitti. Rambabu falls in love with a girl named Shanti, while Suribabu is smitten with Seeta, who suffers from a dysfunctional family that he tries in vain to mend. After completing her studies, Shanti returns to her village, leaving Rambabu heartbroken. When Rambabu and Suribabu fail to trace her, they return to their hometowns, where Suribabu unexpectedly discovers that Shanti is his neighbor. He informs Rambabu, who is shocked to learn that his father, Ranganatham, has already arranged his marriage with his friend Jaganatham’s daughter—none other than Shanti herself. Unaware of this, Rambabu refuses the alliance and instead challenges his father that he will win Shanti’s love within six months. However, when he proposes to Shanti, she rejects him, citing her dislike for romance and stating that she only prefers a “green card” marriage. Determined, Rambabu tries to win over her parents, discovering that her father, Jaganatham, is a strict atheist while her mother, Subbalakshmi, is a devout believer. Rambabu cleverly impresses both, adjusting himself to their contrasting ideologies.
Soon, Rambabu realizes Jaganatham insists that any suitor must honor his own parents as well. To prove himself, Rambabu enlists Gopalam and Kantham to pose as his parents, leading to a series of hilarious situations. Shanti, still skeptical, tries to expose his truth, but Rambabu insists she will have to accept him only with her parents’ approval. Matters complicate when clashes erupt between Jaganatham and Ranganatham, causing the alliance to break. Ironically, Jaganatham later decides that Rambabu is the best match for Shanti but first tests his character by comparing him with another suitor, Chakrapani. During this time, Shanti begins to understand Rambabu’s sincerity and eventually falls for him. However, Jaganatham suddenly announces Shanti’s marriage to Chakrapani, which Rambabu reluctantly accepts. Taking advantage, Chakrapani’s cunning father Narayana rushes to print the wedding cards, but Rambabu outsmarts and exposes him. Finally, Jaganatham discovers Rambabu’s true identity as Ranganatham’s son, reconciles with his old friend, and happily conducts Rambabu and Shanti’s marriage, ending the story on a joyful note.
