Kashmora
The film begins with three friends—Sridhar, Jaya Dev, and Abraka Dhabara—eliminating a sorcerer, Khadra, in the remote village of Bista to secure Sridhar’s sister, Tulasi, from “Kashmora,” a powerful black magic. In retaliation, Vishachi, their chieftain, creates a formidable sorcerer, Darkha, who vows to kill them. The only link to find them is Tulasi, within a year of Kashmora’s awakening. After crossing many hurdles, Darkha reaches the city, where a priest reforms him. Sensing his dark aura, the priest makes him swear to avoid harming innocents. Meanwhile, the three families remain close-knit, with Dr. Rambabu (Jayadev’s son), Shadow (Abraka Dabra’s sibling), and Tulasi being best friends. Tulasi later exposes the evil aura of a false saint, Siddheshwari. Recognizing Darkha as a wizard, Siddheshwari tries to exploit his powers, but when he refuses, she attempts to sacrifice him. Tulasi and Shadow intervene, expose her, and save Darkha, though Siddheshwari escapes. Darkha eventually learns about Tulasi’s connection and moves toward revenge. At the same time, Siddheshwari vows to destroy Tulasi, Darkha, and Shadow by hypnotizing Rambabu, who unknowingly poisons Tulasi.
Darkha strikes Sridhar but accidentally causes the death of his child, Archana. He next targets Abraka Dabra and his wife, Saku, using black magic. Fortunately, Saku, being the daughter of Darkha’s mentor priest, is protected and the spell backfires. This awakens a sense of mercy in Darkha, and he swears not to harm anyone again. However, Siddheshwari seizes him once more but fails to control him completely and shifts her focus to Shadow. The group learns Rambabu has been manipulated and can only be saved through Jayadev. As the year completes, Kashmora attacks, and Darkha struggles to resist it. Sridhar captures Siddheshwari, who unleashes Darkha’s evil spirit. Misunderstanding Darkha’s actions, Sridhar drives him away just as he was drawing a protective Sri Chakram for Tulasi. Finally, Vishachi arrives from Bista and summons Tulasi to the burial ground. In a climactic battle, Darkha fights to protect her, ultimately sacrificing his soul to stop Kashmora, while Vishachi is destroyed when Sridhar shoots him. The movie ends with Darkha’s death, leaving his final words: “Remember, even a wizard has a good soul.”
