Story
The film begins with Vijay, a quick-witted gunslinger who spices up life with mischievous bets. Usha, a spirited woman with a flair for pranks, matches his craziness. Their rivalry begins when Vijay humiliates their manager, Rama Swamy, in a public prank, enraging Usha, who is also close to Rama Swamy’s daughter, Ujjawala. Determined to teach him a lesson, she clashes with Vijay in a series of hilarious encounters. Vijay’s best friend Ajay, a theater troupe director, supports him, and Vijay occasionally joins his troupe. Meanwhile, Vijay draws the ire of scheming colleagues—Dharmalingam, a cunning opportunist; Hareram, a fake ascetic; and Rita, a sly woman who lusts after him but is rejected. Ajay, wishing to see Vijay and Usha united, cleverly brings them together. Their elders approve, and an engagement is arranged. But tragedy strikes when Ajay is diagnosed with terminal cancer. To help him, Vijay falsifies medical records and misuses company funds for his treatment. After Ajay’s death, Vijay faces charges of fraud and fakes his own death to avoid punishment.
Vijay later decides to confess to Rama Swamy, but Dharmalingam frames him in a scam worth ₹3 lakhs, using his “death” as leverage. Vijay, disguising himself as a ghost with the help of Ajay’s troupe, outsmarts the villains while secretly meeting Usha and rekindling their bond. Meanwhile, Hareram and Rita’s affair leads to pregnancy, and they frame Vijay, convincing even his parents, Shankar Rao and Parvati, of his guilt. Distraught, Usha collapses but agrees to marry a suitor arranged by her father, Raghavaiah. Vijay, however, cunningly reclaims the stolen money from Dharmalingam. Enraged, the four villains abduct his parents. With time running out, Vijay’s friends delay Usha’s wedding as long as possible. In a twist, Ajay’s spirit appears, intent on fulfilling his dream of uniting the lovers, and stalls the ceremony. Vijay rescues his parents, storms the venue with the captured culprits, and proves his innocence. At last, Ajay’s soul finds peace, blessing Vijay and Usha. The movie ends on a joyful note with their marriage. Released: 1st June 1995
