Kshemamga Velli Labamgarandi Story
The film begins with a trio of wayward husbands—Ravi, Rambabu, and Jambulingam—who work as mechanics. They share a compound with their respective wives, Geeta, Janaki, and Subbalakshmi. The men squander their earnings on profligacy and borrow loans far beyond their means, causing immense financial agony to their wives. Meanwhile, Baby (Bala Tripura Sundari), a hardworking woman, and her principled husband, Master, move in as neighbors. The trio disregards them, continuing with their foolproof plan of making their wives shoulder the family burdens. When the wives request Baby for posts in her company, the men deny it, considering their wives too minor to work. Soon after, their company owner cancels the annual bonus. The trio boldly protests, which leads to their dismissal. On Jambulingam’s advice, the three approach his best friend Appala Raju, a wealthy man in [[Bangalore]], under the pretense of official training with their wives. However, Appala Raju turns out to be a drug dealer, and they end up battered and bruised by police action. At the same time, their wives discover the extent of their husbands’ debts with Peon Bezawada and are dismissed from their jobs. With Baby’s support, the wives begin working hard to escape the financial catastrophe.
Conscious of this, the husbands grow infuriated and, after heated controversies, expel their wives. Master and Baby take them in, offering shelter. Meanwhile, Ravi’s daughter is diagnosed with a heart defect and requires immediate surgery. The distressed wives, bolstered by their colleagues, gather the money with overtime labor. With no help elsewhere, the trio again turns to Appala Raju, who entices them into smuggling ganja. Unfortunately, the police seize them during the attempt, and they face ruin. At last, the three repent for their follies, and the Master steps in to acquit them. The film concludes happily, with the chastened husbands finally supporting their wives, accepting jobs, and learning to lead a responsible and prosperous life together.
