Lucky Chance Story
he film begins with two best friends, Dharma Rao and Veerabhadram, who make a humorous pact: whichever of them first has a grandson will inherit a sum of ₹2 lakhs deposited in a bank. Their family lawyer, Nayudamma, manages the arrangement. Years later, after both elders pass away, the deposit multiplies into ₹50 lakhs, with only Nayudamma knowing the access code. However, he is in prison for malpractice. Veerabhadram leaves behind three sons—Seshagiri, Anjaneyulu, and Bose—while Dharma Rao has two sons, Sivaram and Rajababu, and a daughter, Bhanu. Bose, an idler surviving by trickery, has adored Bhanu since childhood, but she detests him and dreams of settling in the U.S. Upon release, Nayudamma, stripped of his license, conspires with his former apprentice-turned-rival Advocate Dakshina Murthy. To secure the fortune, Nayudamma approaches Bose, proposing marriage to his daughter Dhanalakshmi. When she refuses and distances herself, Nayudamma instead strikes a 50% deal with Bose. Bose, desperate, convinces Bhanu to marry him under strict conditions: no marital relationship, conception through artificial means, and divorce once she emigrates.
Meanwhile, Dakshina Murthy marries Dhanalakshmi and also learns the secret of the money, plotting with Rajababu. Soon, all family members become aware of the treasure, sparking a series of schemes and betrayals. Intrigues create rifts within households, such as shaming Anjaneyulu’s wife Uma and attempting to pit couples against one another. Amidst these machinations, several women become pregnant, prompting Nayudamma and Dakshina Murthy to pressure for abortions to consolidate power. Though Bose initially stoops low, he reforms after showing compassion to his sister-in-law Bharati, ultimately breaking ties with Nayudamma. Tragedy strikes when Rajababu poisons Bhanu, leaving her critically ill, but she realizes Bose’s true devotion. Rajababu also betrays Dakshina Murthy, leading to his downfall. The families reconcile, and Bose is finally blessed with a baby boy. When Nayudamma and Dakshina Murthy attempt to abduct the infant, Bose rescues his child and exposes their schemes. In the end, Bose wins the ₹50 lakhs but, realizing the futility of ill-gotten wealth, shares it with the family. Peace is restored, couples reunite, and the film concludes happily.
