Mahajananiki Maradalupilla Story
The film begins in a small village where Dr. Ram Murthy lives with his wife Seeta and their three daughters in his in-laws’ home. One day, when Ram Murthy urgently needs money to save a dying patient, his brother-in-law Narayana Rao refuses, and the patient dies. Hurt and humiliated, Ram Murthy cuts ties and leaves with his family. Years later, Narayana Rao’s son Ravi resolves to reconcile the families. He learns that Ram Murthy’s household is troubled, largely due to his arrogant cousin Devi, whose disdain for marriage has stalled not only her own prospects but also those of her younger sisters, Lakshmi and Saraswati, who long to wed their partners Hari Babu and Giri Babu. To set things right, Ravi disguises himself as Kishtaiah, Narayana Rao’s long-lost brother who was thought to be dead, and enters his uncle’s household. With wit and cunning, Ravi challenges Devi’s pride, turning her defiance against her until she reluctantly agrees to marry him. She vows to make her husband her puppet, but Ravi counters with a promise to humble her vanity.
After their marriage, the couple returns to Ravi’s village, where he pretends to be a servant in his own parents’ house. When Devi eventually discovers his disguise, she is shocked and enraged but finds herself trapped in her own pride. Ravi treats her harshly, pushing her limits, until she collapses in despair and falls gravely ill. At this breaking point, Ravi’s deep love and devotion revive her, leading Devi to recognize his sincerity and reform her ways. Meanwhile, Narayana Rao informs Ram Murthy and Seeta of Ravi’s deception and Devi’s downfall. They rush to the village and are overjoyed to find their once obstinate daughter transformed by love. At last, Ravi reveals his true identity as Narayana Rao’s son, healing old wounds and uniting both families. The film concludes on a joyful note, with harmony restored and all three daughters’ futures secured.
