Mama Bagunnava Story
The film begins with Dhanumjayam, a greedy and spiteful tycoon, who lives with his wife Sundarambal Iyer and their two sons—Gopala Krishna, a veterinarian, and Janakiram, a doctor. Meanwhile, two brave sisters, Jaya and Vijaya, vow to fight male dominance and live with their mother, Parvatamma. Society has ostracized them due to their father, Prakash Rao, being accused of embezzling workers’ bonus funds and absconding. When Parvatamma reveals the truth, the sisters learn that Prakash Rao was framed. Years earlier, as General Manager, he stood against Dhanumjayam for workers’ rights. In retaliation, Dhanumjayam and his aide Thokka entrusted him with the bonus amount, staged a burglary, and falsely incriminated him. Seeking vengeance, Jaya and Vijaya resolve to marry Dhanumjayam’s sons. They discover the men’s unique ideals—Gopala Krishna dreams of uniting two rare animal species, while Janakiram aspires to discover a cure for an incurable disease. Using this knowledge, the sisters cleverly win them over and marry into the family, enraging Dhanumjayam.
Once inside the household, Jaya and Vijaya stir conflicts in daily life, prompting Dhanumjayam to hire a maid. They introduce Gowri, a naïve young woman, and manipulate situations—falsely portraying Dhanumjayam as an alcoholic, suggesting he has an affair with Gowri, and turning his sons against him. Eventually, Gopala Krishna and Janakiram oust their father from authority. Parvatamma scolds her daughters for their deceit, while even Gowri innocently exposes their manipulations, forcing them to eat humble pie. Meanwhile, Thokka betrays Dhanumjayam, abducts him, and attempts to seize his wealth, where he also discovers Prakash Rao imprisoned all these years. In the climax, the family unites to rescue them, and a remorseful Dhanumjayam begs forgiveness, finally fulfilling his duty by repaying the workers’ dues. The story ends on a happy note, with the entire household reconciled, and Gowri joyfully integrated into the family.
