Mee Aayana Jagratha Story
The film begins with Gopi Krishna, an unemployed youth troubled by his inability to afford even a small sum for an interview. With the help of his childhood friend Bose, he arrives on time and impresses a stern Retired Army Major who heads the organization. In the second round, Gopi wins over the Major’s daughter Sundari, and to his surprise, this process is revealed to be her search for a husband. The Major marries them and appoints Gopi as the Managing Director of his enterprise. Sundari delays their first night until she fully understands his character, which Gopi respects. Meanwhile, Bose finds a good job and shares his love for Latha. At the same time, Raksha, a seductive call girl, entices the city’s men. Gopi encounters her and nearly gives in to temptation but restrains himself, haunted by guilt towards Sundari. Soon after, circumstances force Gopi to disguise Raksha as Bose’s wife to avoid suspicion. Matters get complicated when Robert, a foolish thug, falls in love with Raksha and pursues her, oblivious to her profession. On Sundari’s birthday, she insists on meeting Bose’s “wife,” pushing Gopi deeper into his fabricated lie.
From here, a series of comedic and dramatic entanglements unfolds. Latha mistakes Raksha as Gopi’s wife, sparking misunderstandings, while Sundari finally acknowledges Gopi’s virtue and conceives. Gopi then arranges Bose and Latha’s marriage in a temple, but chaos ensues when Major, Sundari, Robert, and Raksha all arrive, and Gopi cleverly unites the couple amidst confusion. Later, further mix-ups make Sundari suspect Bose of infidelity, while Latha assumes Gopi and Sundari are romantically involved. To protect Raksha, Gopi and Bose play along, until her plea to pose as Gopi’s husband for her dying mother’s wish drives Sundari to despair. Meanwhile, Latha’s uncle Papa Rao, a bankrupt thug, kidnaps Sundari in a ploy for ransom. In the climax, Gopi, Bose, Raksha, and Robert confront Papa Rao. Raksha finally clears the misunderstandings, Robert accepts her wholeheartedly, and the villains are defeated. The film ends happily with the three couples—Gopi and Sundari, Bose and Latha, and Robert and Raksha—settled and blessed with baby boys a year later.
