Muchataga Mugguru Story
The film begins with orphaned sisters Radha and Vani, who live as tenants in the house of Linga Rao, a mercenary and flirtatious man who constantly pesters them for rent, while his wife Seshamma shows them kindness. Radha works as a stenographer under a lustful manager whose advances she tolerates for the sake of her livelihood. Vani, naive and inexperienced, struggles as a salesgirl, facing constant criticism. Meanwhile, Rambabu, a charming young man new to the town, arrives in search of work and an affordable place to stay. He saves Vani from danger, and soon the sisters decide to share their house with him to ease their rent burden. Pretending he is their maternal uncle’s son, they happily live together, and gradually, Rambabu and Radha fall in love. Parallelly, Vani meets Ramesh, a promising customer, who also develops feelings for her. Rambabu, however, lands in trouble when he accidentally breaks an expensive idol while seeking a job, leading to a comic chase where he disguises himself as a woman to escape. Soon, CBI officers reveal he is wanted under extortion charges linked to his friend Nutan Prasad, who, coincidentally, is Seshamma’s brother. Nutan Prasad learns Rambabu’s secret, but the two reconcile.
At the same time, Rambabu becomes secretary to Rama Devi, a wealthy woman who speaks broken Telugu and annoys him with her eccentricity, though he endures it for the sake of wealth. Rambabu later introduces her to Nutan Prasad by pretending he is a film director, sparking a mutual romance. Amid comedic episodes involving Linga Rao and Radha’s manager, Rambabu makes a shocking discovery—Radha and Vani are his maternal aunt’s daughters. Their grandfather Kutumbaiah had disowned their mother for marrying without his approval and abandoned the girls after their parents’ death. Rambabu, upset by this injustice, confronts Kutumbaiah, who regrets his actions and secretly tries to win their affection. Later, a misunderstanding arises when Vani suffers an injury and is mistakenly believed to be terminally ill. The confusion clears, and Kutumbaiah emotionally reunites with his granddaughters. In the end, all conflicts are resolved, and the film concludes on a happy note with the marriages of Rambabu with Radha, Vani with Ramesh, and Nutan Prasad with Rama Devi.
