Muthyamantha Muddu Story
The film, inspired by the ideas of Yandamuri Veerendranath, tells the tale of Anudeep, a man who performs seven years of penance at the Vindhya mountains, devoting himself to the pursuit of pure, divine love. His arrival shakes the life of Vidyadhari, a misandrist weary of the constant harassment she faces from men around her—her house owner Prof. Ranganatham, his son Rama Rao, and the unscrupulous proprietor Chakradhar, who persistently proposes to her. When Chakradhar falsely accuses Vidyadhari of theft to exploit her, Anudeep mysteriously appears, defending her with uncanny knowledge and power, humiliating Chakradhar into submission. Perplexed and intrigued by his supernatural aura, Vidyadhari challenges him, only to be shaken when he claims he has worshipped her in silence for seven years, attaining divine knowledge through penance. She dismisses his story as fraudulent, but he vows to prove the strength of his love. In a test of faith, he marks her body overnight without entering her locked room, terrifying her. Later, to atone, Anudeep amputates his own hand in a cinema hall, only to miraculously regrow it, astounding all, including Commissioner Dharma Rao and SI Viswanatham, who test and arrest him. While Dharma Rao denounces him as a trickster, SP Ravi Sastry confirms through investigation at Vindhya that Anudeep’s powers are real and born from love’s divinity.
Meanwhile, Vidyadhari’s friend Vaishali wagers she can seduce Anudeep but instead feels a maternal aura from him, repenting and bowing to his sanctity. Suspicion grows around Chakradhar’s fraudulent dealings, and Dharma Rao seeks Vidyadhari’s help to uncover his secrets. Despite Anudeep’s warnings of danger, she proceeds with Viswanatham’s support—only to discover him allied with Chakradhar’s partner Sampath. They murder Chakradhar and frame Vidyadhari. Imprisoned, she blames Anudeep for her misfortunes until Ravi Sastry exposes the conspiracy and clears her name. When Sampath and Viswanatham attempt to kill her, Anudeep saves Vidyadhari but suffers fatal injuries. On his deathbed, Ravi Sastry reveals Anudeep’s penance and selfless devotion as genuine. Vidyadhari, at last, recognizes his ethereal love, rushing to him—but it is too late, as he breathes his last. The film closes poignantly with Anudeep’s soul finding peace, uplifted by Vidyadhari’s final embrace of his divine love.
