Ninne Premista Story
The film begins with Kalyan, a young and charming bank officer, who spends his days dreaming about his future spouse. Yet he faces repeated rejections because of his parents’ intercaste marriage. Around this time, Kalyan is promoted and posted to the beautiful village of Pattiseema in [[West Godavari District]]. Midway through his journey, his bus meets with a terrible accident, leaving him blind. After three months, Kalyan regains his eyesight and resumes his job, accompanied by his best friend Ramesh. There, he meets his neighbor Meghamala, a charming girl whose kindness, hospitality, and affection quickly attract him. Believing her to share his feelings, Kalyan, with Ramesh’s playful assistance, tries various ways to woo her—leading to humorous situations. His hopes are confirmed when he discovers her diary, filled with pages of “I Love You.” Encouraged, he proposes marriage, only to be startled when Meghamala rejects him. She reveals her eternal love for Srinivas, an [[Indian Army]] [[Major]], to whom her elders had already pledged her hand during his vacation.
In the past, Meghamala and Srinivas had met, fallen in love, and become engaged. Before leaving, Srinivas asked her to propose to him, but her shy silence left him disappointed. Just as their nuptials approached, he was called back to duty and departed. Meghamala rushed to the railway station to finally confess her love, but tragedy struck—the same accident in which Kalyan lost his eyesight also claimed Srinivas, who had pledged his eyes for donation. Thus, Kalyan’s restored vision was gifted by Srinivas. Meghamala explains that her closeness to Kalyan was driven by her wish to see Srinivas’s eyes, while she herself vowed lifelong devotion to her fallen beloved. Determined, Kalyan insists on his love, but Meghamala tactfully arranges his marriage to a benevolent girl, Srilakshmi, without his knowledge. Though Meghamala attends the wedding, Kalyan’s parents harshly expel her. The next day, however, she is stunned when Kalyan reveals he called off the marriage and instead arranged for Ramesh to wed Srilakshmi. Declaring that he too will remain single, Kalyan entrusts Meghamala with caring for his eyes, waiting for her love with hope. The film ends on a tender note, with the two bound by Srinivas’s eternal presence.
