Oka Pellam Muddu Rendo Pellam Vaddu Story

The film begins with Harishchandra, a middle-class, faithful man, who lives with his lavish wife, Satya. She dreams of a luxurious life and constantly nags him for wealth beyond his earnings. The couple has a young son. One day, Satya’s cousin Sarath, a multimillionaire, visits and promises that if they have a baby girl, he will marry her to his son and offer them a bounty of ₹1 crore upon her birth. Driven by greed, the couple tries in various ways but fails. Desperate, Satya approaches a Swamiji, who suggests a vow of constantly lying. Though Hari refuses, Satya compels him by threatening to die, and they begin telling lies. Meanwhile, a criminal, Manik Dada RMP, repeatedly asks Hari for a matchbox; Hari lies about not having one, which leads to a chain of events where Manik Dada inadvertently reveals his crimes, and the police arrest him. At the same time, Satya secretly runs a chit-fund company without Hari’s knowledge, which goes bankrupt, leaving them in urgent need of money. During this crisis, Hari meets his childhood friend Krishna, who helps him out financially. However, as per the vow, Hari presents himself as unmarried. Believing him, Krishna proposes that Hari marry his sister Meena. Though shocked, Hari agrees under pressure, and in a dire situation, marries Meena. To conceal the truth, he introduces her at home as a servant. That night, Satya, shattered, attempts suicide, but Hari scolds her, forcing her to plot ways to stall the situation, even faking his injuries to prevent the marriage from being consummated. Despite her attempts, Hari eventually spends a night with Meena, which devastates Satya.

As the story unfolds, Meena’s uncles Lakshmikanth and Pyarelal arrive, trying to woo Satya out of spite for Hari. Soon, both Satya and Meena conceive. Suspicion and bitterness brew as Meena humiliates Satya, questioning her purity, while Hari remains helpless. Still, at Hari’s request, Meena allows Satya to stay with them. A transformation takes place in Satya after deep self-reflection. When both wives go into labor simultaneously, they deliver baby girls, but confusion arises when the babies are swapped—especially as Meena refuses to breastfeed them. Hari emotionally breaks down and reveals the truth, leading Meena to accuse him of betrayal. At this moment, Krishna intervenes and helps Meena understand Hari’s virtue. Suddenly, Manik Dada abducts the newborns for ransom, but Hari bravely rescues them, defeating the villain. Sarath arrives and offers the promised bounty, though the couple now rejects it. The film ends on a happy note with Hari reconciled to life with his two wives, Satya and Meena, raising their family together.
