Paila Pachchees Story
The film begins in a college where four mischievous students—Saranya, Ashok, Ranga, and Padma—cause constant mayhem with their antics. Their fun is cut short by Suresh, a newly deputed lecturer who sternly opposes their behavior. A battle of wits ensues, with the students plotting against him, even attempting to sabotage his matchmaking. However, their pranks backfire, and they are caught and suspended. To counter him, they hire the slick trickster Chittibabu, but he instead befriends Suresh and submits to his guidance. Suresh proves his worth by excelling in sports and competitions, further winning admiration. Saranya, however, tricks him by pretending to be a cancer patient, ensnaring him into love. When she falsely accuses him of misbehavior, he is humiliated and rusticated, mocked by the students. Later, Saranya attends her sister Shanti’s wedding, where she is shocked to see her father Anand Rao sacrifice himself. Anand Rao, a principled government officer, had shut down the illegal factory of corrupt tycoon Chakravarthy. To avenge this, Chakravarthy arranges Shanti’s marriage to his son Raja, but at the ceremony, he slanders Shanti as being pregnant. Outraged, Saranya vows revenge, planning to unite Raja and Shanti by abducting Chakravarthy’s younger son Murali, but the attempt fails, and she and her friends are arrested. Suresh rescues them, winning their respect. He then reveals the truth: the wealth Chakravarthy flaunts actually belongs to his sister Anasuyamma, whose infant daughter Rani he murdered years ago. Suresh’s father, Satya Murthy, was the family’s loyal driver, and Anasuyamma still believes her daughter will one day return.
To expose Chakravarthy, Suresh and the students devise a plan with Chittibabu’s help, making Saranya pose as the long-lost Rani and infiltrate the household. During this time, Suresh and Saranya genuinely fall in love. Despite Chakravarthy’s repeated attempts to kill them, they survive. He then schemes to marry “Rani” (Saranya) to Raja to seize the fortune. In a clever twist, Suresh disguises Shanti as the bride under a veil, ensuring her marriage to Raja instead. The group continues mocking and outsmarting Chakravarthy, eventually driving him insane and landing him in an asylum. Raja, however, reforms, realizing Shanti’s virtue. In a comical side plot, Chakravarthy’s PA uncovers Suresh’s truth, causing temporary chaos as he is made dumb and disabled. Meanwhile, a desperate Raja, planning a double suicide with Shanti, purchases a bomb from a vendor named Bombu Rao. Mistakenly placed inside a jewel box, the bomb triggers a frantic chase until it finally explodes hilariously in Chakravarthy’s hands. In the end, Anasuyamma learns the full truth and accepts Saranya as her daughter. The film closes joyfully with the marriage of Suresh and Saranya.
