Pellam Pichodu

The film begins with Srinivas “Srinu,” a devoted husband who lives only to fulfill the wishes of his beloved wife, Madhavi. They move into a colony shared with three other couples—Murali Krishna and Lakshmi, Raghu and Parvati, and Kitta Govindam and Saraswati. Unlike Srinu, the three men are reckless, indulging in drinking and infidelity, which causes constant misery to their wives. Srinu’s loving behavior makes the other wives question their own husbands, angering the men, who try unsuccessfully to corrupt him. Unknown to Madhavi, Srinu, who works in a chit-fund company, has secretly launched his own agency. To win her love, he has also hidden his family background, since Madhavi wanted to marry an orphan like her sister. His lies are eventually exposed by the wayward husbands, who bring in his parents. Worse still, Srinu loses his job, his business collapses due to betrayal by his employees, and he falls into massive debt, straining his marriage and earning Madhavi’s resentment.

In this crisis, Priya, Srinu’s childhood friend, returns and becomes a source of strength, helping him emotionally and financially. Together, they build a successful new business, restoring Srinu’s fortune. However, Madhavi begins to suspect Priya, and misunderstandings push her further away, ultimately breaking their bond. Distraught, Madhavi confides in Ranganayaki, an outspoken elderly woman in the colony, who begins investigating. Meanwhile, the other couples reform, realizing their mistakes and rallying to reunite Srinu and Madhavi. When Ranganayaki arranges her grandson Prashanth’s wedding, Madhavi is stunned to discover Priya as the bride. Ranganayaki then clarifies Priya’s true relationship with Srinu and reveals his unwavering virtue. Humbled, Madhavi seeks forgiveness, and Srinu accepts her with renewed love. The film ends joyfully with the marriage of Prashanth and Priya, while Srinu and Madhavi reconcile, their bond stronger than ever.
