Poola Rangadu Story
The film begins in a village led by its President, Harischandra Prasad, a righteous man who lives happily with his timid wife Parvati and their fiery younger ward, Ranga, whom they love as a son. Ranga is a fearless youth who constantly challenges the atrocities of the cruel Nagabhushanam, a schemer hungry for power. Amidst these clashes, Ranga falls in love with the charming Gowri, who lives with her mentally unstable elder sister Lakshmi. When Nagabhushanam molests Lakshmi, Ranga cleverly forces him to marry her. Humiliated, Nagabhushanam plots to kill both Harischandra Prasad and Ranga, but they narrowly escape. As village elections approach, Nagabhushanam manipulates events to prevent Harischandra Prasad from contesting, using Parvati’s fears against her. To uphold the family’s honor, Ranga steps in to lead the campaign. During the fiery contest, tempers flare, and just as Ranga is about to strike Nagabhushanam, Parvati intervenes and vows to restrain his fury. Twisting events, Nagabhushanam falsely accuses Ranga of attempted murder, and in court, Parvati shockingly testifies against him to save him from harsher consequences. Branded guilty, Ranga is sentenced, and villagers condemn Parvati until she reveals the truth behind her sacrifice.
Time passes, and Ranga is released after winning the elections, rising as a strong leader. To pursue his larger goals, he deliberately distances himself from his brother and sister-in-law, pretending hostility. Meanwhile, he continues to outwit Nagabhushanam and works to uplift the village from all corners, earning respect. When the government sanctions ₹1 crore for the panchayat, Nagabhushanam retaliates by abducting Harischandra Prasad and Parvati. In the climax, Ranga rescues them, defeats Nagabhushanam, and restores peace to the village. The story ends on a happy note with the marriage of Ranga and Gowri, uniting love, honor, and justice.
