Prema Zindabad Story
The film begins with Gopalam, a naïve and good-hearted man who dreams of marrying the girl of his visions. He secures a job but suffers under the cruelty of his manager, Muddu Krishna. By chance, Gopalam reunites with his childhood friend Anjaneyulu, and to his joy, destiny reveals Anjaneyulu’s sister Bharati as the very girl he has long dreamt of. The two fall in love. However, a major obstacle arises—Bharati’s elder sister Swarajyam remains unmarried, and their patriotic father Bose Babu, who detests dowry, struggles to find her a match. Swarajyam loves Kalyan, but his avaricious father Prakasam demands ₹50,000. Wanting to help, Gopalam assures Anjaneyulu that he will arrange the money, while Anjaneyulu secretly promises Prakasam the sum before the wedding. Tragically, Gopalam fails to raise the amount, the marriage collapses, and Bose Babu dies in grief.
Meanwhile, fate plays another twist when Gopalam discovers a bag left behind by Muddu Krishna, filled with cash. Tempted to solve his problem, he opens it only to realize the money is counterfeit, part of Muddu Krishna’s fraudulent scheme. In confusion, he mistakenly swaps the bag with that of Chaplin Nataraju, a comic performer. When the bag returns to Muddu Krishna after a tour, Gopalam is left horrified to find bloodstains, a weapon, and evidence of murder in the bag he now holds, making him the prime suspect. Forced to flee, he turns to Anjaneyulu, only to be shocked that the victim is Swarajyam. Teaming up with Nataraju, who claims an unknown man planted the items during Swarajyam’s wedding eve, Gopalam sets out to solve the mystery. With clever disguises, he investigates Prakasam and Kalyan, ultimately exposing their dark conspiracy. In the end, Gopalam clears his name, punishes the culprits, and the story concludes on a joyful note with his marriage to Bharati.
