Rendu Rellu Aaru Story

The film begins with two best friends, Madhusudan Rao (Madhu/Mad) and Sadguna Rao (Sad), who live as tenants in their manager Iravatham’s house. Parallelly, two college friends, Keertana and Vindhya, stay in a hostel. Madhu, a prankster known for his riddles, meets Keertana in a humorous incident, and the two fall in love. Meanwhile, Iravatham suffers at the hands of his wife Lalitha, whose terrible cooking and dreadful music torture him. He had married her believing she was talented in both, but realizing he was tricked, he warns her to improve. The story then shifts when Keertana’s uncle Dattatreya arrives, taking her to care for her ailing paternal uncle Sarvanandam. There, Keertana learns a surprising truth from Vindhya: her real name is Vighneshwari, and she was forcibly married in childhood to her enemy Venkatasivam, the son of their neighbor Jagapati Rao. The couple has lived apart since then. Dattatreya then summons Venkatasivam, who turns out to be none other than Madhu, under his modernized name. The two still detest each other and hatch a plan to avoid living together by sending Sadguna Rao and Vindhya in their place. Since Madhu and Keertana had left the village years earlier, no one recognizes them except Dattatreya, who is away on pilgrimage, allowing the plan to proceed. Sadguna Rao and Vindhya, pretending to be Madhu and Keertana, arrive at Sarvanandam’s home, where their fake hostility gradually turns into love.

Meanwhile, Iravatham consults hypnotist Dr. B. V. Pattabhiram to reform Lalitha, but he fails to pay him despite two chances, leading to comic consequences. Back at Sarvanandam’s house, the situation escalates as he prepares for Sadguna Rao and Vindhya’s first night. Panicked, the pair try to escape but are locked in by Sarvanandam’s aide Tikamaka. Dattatreya returns unexpectedly, confused by Madhu’s presence in two places, and alerts his father. Matters further complicate when Vindhya’s brother Anirudh arrives and uncovers the ruse, while Sarvanandam’s associate Girisam recognizes Vindhya from their stage acting days. During the marital night, Sadguna Rao and Vindhya confess their true identities and their newfound love, but panic when everyone arrives, leading to chaos. Realizing his plan has failed, Madhu seeks Iravatham’s help, who arranges his marriage with Keertana. Simultaneously, Sadguna Rao and Vindhya also return and wed. In the end, Dattatreya reveals the entire truth, shocking Madhu and Keertana, while Anirudh blesses Sadguna Rao and Vindhya’s union. The film ends comically with Pattabhiram restoring Lalitha to her original troublesome self, much to Iravatham’s dismay.
