Sakshi Story
The film begins in Madras, where Shekar, a junior artist, deceives his villagers by pretending to be a film industry luminary. Believing him, his best friend Raja arrives seeking an opportunity. The two quickly squander money and fall into debt to a photo studio, forcing them to work as laborers. Meanwhile, Swapna, a wealthy college student, lives under constant threat from her greedy maternal uncle Paramkusam, who schemes to kill her for her inheritance, and from her arrogant classmate Vinod, whom she once slapped in public. Swapna encounters Raja and Shekar during a quarrel, mocking them before they part ways. By chance, the duo meet advocate Bhuvaneswari Devi, who admires their honesty and later supports them. They establish a small restaurant on wheels, but after a scuffle, the police arrest them. Once again, Bhuvaneswari Devi helps them, this time setting them up with a delivery service called We Help, through which they slowly prosper. In time, Raja and Swapna’s encounters turn into love, and he vows to protect her after learning of the threats against her life. But tragedy strikes when, on her birthday, Raja and Shekar arrive to surprise her—only to find Swapna brutally murdered. The crime implicates them, and Inspector Rana Pratap, a fearless officer recently celebrated for capturing terrorist Mallikarjuna, takes over the investigation.
Bhuvaneswari Devi steps in as their defense lawyer, despite being Rana Pratap’s estranged wife—the two separated after ego clashes and a public case that divided them. Earlier, Rana Pratap had been accused by her of misconduct when Mallikarjuna died in interrogation, leading to a government inquiry under DSP Alexander. Unknown to many, Alexander had prepared a damning report against Rana Pratap, but before he could submit it, he was murdered by hired assassins Robin and Hendry. Swapna accidentally witnessed this crime, sealing her fate. Raja, continuing his own investigation, discovers Swapna’s sketch of the killers, helping Bhuvaneswari build her case. In court, she dramatically exposes the truth: Rana Pratap himself orchestrated Alexander’s murder to protect his reputation and then killed Swapna to silence her. With the revelation, Raja and Shekar are acquitted, and Rana Pratap is taken into custody. In a poignant moment, he concedes defeat to Bhuvaneswari Devi in their long-standing cold war as he is led away. The film closes with the powerful message: “Hailing to Justice.”
