Sandade Sandadi Story
The film begins with three best friends—Chandu, Balu, and Kamesh—who are frustrated with their wives Lakshmi, Vasundhara, and Priya, as they complain about their husbands’ low earnings. In despair, the trio decides to commit mass suicide but instead ends up saving a tycoon, Lakshmi Narayana (Lucky), who himself had attempted suicide due to bankruptcy. They help him revive his business and, in return, earn high salaries. All of them begin living in the same apartment complex, where their families also develop close bonds. Parvati, the common servant for the three households, becomes emotionally close to the wives and often shares personal matters. She also eagerly awaits the return of her childhood crush, Raja. The three men, however, remain frustrated because their wives deny them marital intimacy—Lakshmi being deeply religious and occupied with rituals, Vasundhara too busy with her career as a lawyer, and Priya absorbed in her life as a TV actress. Meanwhile, Lucky faces a second crisis: he has promised to marry his daughters Honey, Anju, and Manju to his close friend’s sons. However, the daughters, being modern and foreign-returned, reject arranged marriage and want to fall in love on their own.
At this point, Chandu, Balu, and Kamesh suggest that Lucky employ three handsome men to charm his daughters, only to later expose them as frauds—thus teaching the girls that love is a sham and persuading them to accept arranged marriage. Lucky, instead, orders the three husbands to take on the roles themselves. Though hesitant, they agree under threat of losing their jobs. Soon, the three succeed in attracting the daughters, but when Lucky reveals his plan to discard them, their egos are wounded. By now accustomed to luxury, the trio plots to actually marry the daughters. Meanwhile, Parvati spots the husbands with their girlfriends and informs the wives, who dismiss her claims due to their trust in their men. The trio then bribes Parvati and even conspires to kill her through a goon, Pulan Raja. Unexpectedly, he falls in love with Parvati, and the two become a pair. Parvati continues her attempts to expose the truth through various comic antics, but the men always wriggle out. Eventually, Lucky uncovers the husbands’ betrayal and alerts the wives. In retaliation, the women set up a counterattack. Just as the husbands prepare to marry Lucky’s daughters, Lakshmi collapses, and Vasundhara and Priya arrive at the registrar’s office as witnesses. Conscious of Lakshmi’s condition, the men rush to the hospital and finally confess the truth. The furious daughters attempt to kill them until Parvati reveals that Lucky himself is to blame for their confusion. Realizing their mistakes, the husbands repent and beg forgiveness from their wives, who reconcile with them. Lucky, too, apologizes, and the film ends happily with Lucky marrying off his daughters to his friend’s sons.
