Thalli Story
The film begins in a village where the wealthy and headstrong Bose Babu often clashes with his rival, Kota. To outwit him, Kota schemes to marry his daughter Swathi to Bose Babu, but soon learns that Bose Babu is already engaged to Sneha, the daughter of his father’s close friend Ramaraju. When Bose Babu secretly visits Ramaraju’s house, he mistakenly assumes Ganga, an orphan fostered there, to be his bride. Angered, Ramaraju, aware of Sneha’s affection for Sivaji (Kota’s son), forcibly marries her to Bose Babu. However, during the wedding, Sneha removes her thaali (mangalsutra) and elopes. To save face, Ramaraju’s loyal aide Ramu convinces Ganga to step in, and she enters Bose Babu’s house as his wife. Later, Sneha realizes Sivaji’s true nature as a swindler when he deceives and harms her. Meanwhile, in the village, Bose Babu slowly tries to win Ganga’s heart, though she resists him. Eventually, Ramaraju learns the truth and declares Ganga to be Bose Babu’s rightful wife. They reconcile, and Ganga becomes pregnant.
As a twist, Bose Babu returns one day with Sneha, introducing her as his wife. In flashback, it is revealed that he had found Sneha gravely injured, and to save her dignity, declared her as his wife in the hospital. Suffering from amnesia, she stayed with him. This creates tension, and after some comic interludes, Ganga selflessly returns the thaali to Sneha and leaves with Ramu. Soon, Bose Babu discovers the truth and rushes after her. Meanwhile, Kota and Sivaji slander Ganga and Ramu, but Sneha regains her memory upon seeing Sivaji’s treachery. At that moment, Ramaraju reveals the full truth, and Ganga gives birth to a baby boy. Bose Babu embraces her, and the family acknowledges Ganga as his true wife. The film concludes on a happy note, with Bose Babu once again tying the thaali to Ganga, affirming their union.
