Vichitra Prema Story
The film begins with Sitapati and Major Pratapa Rao, two close friends who once fixed the marriage of their infant children, Sivudu and Parvati. However, a rift develops between the families, and the children grow up apart. Ten years later, fate reunites Siva and Parvati when he defends her in a quarrel with a merchant, Aarmughan. A misunderstanding soon arises: Parvati mistakes Siva for a thief after he uses her car to save the situation, and Aarmughan further implicates him in a false theft. Amidst this, a stranger named Avinash enters Parvati’s life and wins her trust. Later, when the families reconcile, they revive the childhood betrothal and press for Sivudu and Parvati’s marriage. Reluctant, the young pair enlist Siva’s witty friend Babji, who hatches schemes to delay the wedding. With the help of two comic players, Venkatrao and Kalpana, Babji fuels quarrels between the families—spreading rumors about Sitapati’s secret love, passing off fake jewelry, and sowing suspicion—until the reunion turns into fresh enmity.
Meanwhile, Babji himself is entangled in his love for his eccentric cross-cousin, Krishnaveni (Krishti), a struggling writer whose oddball literature constantly irritates him. In the midst of these comic complications, Siva exposes Aarmughan’s deceit and rescues Parvati from Avinash, unmasking his sinister motives. Though injured in the struggle, Siva earns Parvati’s admiration, and genuine love blossoms between them. However, furious Pratapa Rao attacks Siva, straining the friendship with Sitapati, and both men stubbornly arrange their children’s weddings with strangers. To stop the madness, Siva, Parvati, and their mothers conspire to reveal the truth. A series of mishaps ensues—Venkatrao absconds with the real jewelry in a drunken state while Kalpana falls into a coma after consuming poison. Despite the chaos, Siva perseveres, uncovers the truth, and restores harmony. In the end, the friendship between Sitapati and Pratapa Rao is rekindled, and the film concludes on a happy note with Sivudu and Parvati’s marriage.
